If you are HAM, or have Weather/Marine in your radios, I suggest keeping your older versions of software until this issue is addressed. HAM, Marine & Weather are not Type 90 and are therefor not included in the narrowbanding mandate. but as we all know, the narrowbanding mandate only applies to Type 90 with exceptions. Not sure if this was intentional from Motorola. Someone also advised that there was a recent release of MotoTRBO CPS that was also victim of this issue, but I haven't seen it for myself. Not even HAM, Marine, Weather Alerting, etc. Commercial, Professional Radio and Personal Radioįor those who are Official Motorola CPS software owners/subscribers and stay up to date on your software, the latest releases of Professional Series (R06.12.08), Commercial Series (R05.17), CP110 (R03.01), CP185 (R02.03), and PR860 (R01.04) will NOT allow you to program ANY frequencies in wideband mode.We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola). The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. ![]() Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software.
